How will submissions be judged?

A shortlist of submissions will be drawn including a selection of favourites from votes cast in the gallery. This will be judged by our panel of experts based on composition, lighting, subject matter and technical skill. We do not discriminate on the equipment used to take the image and view the photos anonymously to avoid any potential bias. The gallery will soon be open for the public to vote for The People’s Choice category winner, which is based solely on the number of votes received. The overall competition winner will then be chosen from the 14 category winners by the judging panel.

Lee Harasyn

Lee’s love affair with cameras began at a tender age — a passion that quickly became an obsession with all things optical. His very first job was behind the counter at Guildford’s London Camera Exchange branch. After a spell away, he’s returned to LCE and has now worked his way up to the lofty position of Managing Director – a dream come true you might say!

Not content just selling the gear; he was equally fascinated by the technicalities and intricacies that make these devices tick. His latest passion is capturing breathtaking aerial masterpieces using drones, and when he’s not soaring through the skies you can find him chasing the elusive Aurora Borealis in the magical landscapes of Iceland.

Immersed in photography for a significant period of his life, he’s hoping some of it has rubbed off on him and he can now judge when he sees a truly special image.
