How to Enter

Submit your Images

Submit a maximum of one image per category – making sure to title your work and add a description to help the judges decide! Images must be a maximum of 2500px on its longest edge. Please visit our FAQs for more information on image upload requirements.

Image Approval

To ensure images adhere to our Terms and Conditions, all submitted images will go through an approval process before appearing in the Gallery. You will receive a notification via email once your entry is approved and live for public vote!

Competition Rules

LCE Photographer of the Year 2024 is free to enter and is open to photographers of any skill level, excluding professionals, aged 18 or over. ‘Professional’ in this context means that photography is your primary source of income.
Entries are open from 16th October 2023 and will close on 24th January 2024 at midnight.
Overall winners will be announced at The Photography & Video Show 2024.
The winner of each of the 14 categories will be awarded £500 and the overall winner will receive £5,000 worth of LCE vouchers. The shortlisted entries will be contacted via email and invited to the awards ceremony to be held at The Photography & Video Show at the NEC in Birmingham during March 2024.
Employees or agents of London Camera Exchange, their families or other persons connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Participants may only submit a maximum of one entry per category.
Images submitted to the LCE Photographer of the Year competition must be submitted in JPEG at a maximum size of 2,500px on its longest edge, with a colour profile attached.
Images can be taken on any device capable of capturing a digital image of sufficient quality for entry. This includes images captured on smartphones, tablets and other digital devices.
Images submitted to the LCE Photographer of the Year competition must be submitted in JPEG format. If shortlisted, entrants must be able to supply images as original JPEG or RAW files.
All imagery MUST be the exclusive work of the submitting photographer and may not include any element that is the copyright of another.
To enter the competition, you are required to sign up for competition and news updates from London Camera Exchange as well as opting in to receive additional communications from the headline sponsors. You can opt out of receiving these at any time.
London Camera Exchange reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify or remove any entry that does not comply with the rules or the spirit of the awards, at any stage of the awards.
